Buses get people to work, college, medical appointments, shops and social events. If you can’t get a bus, you risk missing out on life’s essentials as well as its pleasures. One in five people in the UK are disabled and they need to be able to use buses as easily as everyone else.

At the Summit, Victoria Garcia from Brighton & Hove Buses and Metrobus will reveal how the bus company achieved its “Inclusive Transport Leader” status, and how its initiatives have benefited all its customers. And she’ll explain how her own experience of suffering a serious head injury helped her understand why accessibility is so important, leading ultimately to her current role
